Four St. Luke’s Seniors To Continue Their Athletic Careers in College

Student-athletes around the country celebrated National Signing Day on Thursday, Nov. 9, including four St. Luke’s seniors who signed their own National Letters of Intent (NLI).

Alexandra Bacher (University of North Carolina – softball), Ava Weneck (Harvard University – crew), Chad Ruggiero (Colgate University – golf), and Sienna Pilla (University of Georgia – equestrian) signed NLIs, officially committing to attend those schools.

Last year, 19 members of the class of 2023 continued their athletic careers in college.: Catalina Hendricks (University of Rhode Island – volleyball), Justin Higgins (Davidson College – baseball), Alex Lanzillotti (Northeastern University – baseball), and Mackenzie Nelson (Virginia Tech – basketball) signed NLIs, officially committing to attend those schools.

A number of student-athletes from St. Luke’s Class of 2024 committed verbally to institutions as well. We look forward to bringing more news on those student-athletes in the coming months.
